Default Again, a 3 or 6?

Hey guys,

I read the other thread about the kid that wants to get a 3 or 6. That helped a lot, but I kinda have different needs, and needing some help.
I'm picky about the car that I get (that's why I came here), but I'm pretty sure you guys can help me out.
Here are some things that I need, and some that I want.

I need an automatic, because that's what my wife wants (I could go either way). Some of the wants include a moonroof, spoiler, rims (not hubcaps). I don't know if any of the models come with an aux jack, but that would be great, a huge plus, actually. Leather would be nice, but not at all necessary.

Another concern is safety, because of the kid factor. Also, I don't need a whole lot of power, but a nice kick would be great. I don't plan on racing or doing anything stupid like that with my car. I plan on having this car well into 150,000-200,000 range, so longevity is an issue.

I know this is long, but all the help I can get would be great. Oh, and price is an issue too. It's not like I can get a '09 or anything. I'm thinking '06 or '07, but you're the experts. You tell me. Thanks.

An '08 3 S Touring auto with sunroof and spoiler. That covers all of that and side curtain air bags.

Air Force -
If you have / plan on having children that will predominately ride in this vehicle I would recommend the 6. While the 3 will accomodate carseats and passengers in the back I think you would be happier with the extra room a 6 provides. I have 2 small children and much prefer to take our Taurus if I am transporting children and wifey.

Also, all the features you mentioned are available on the 6 as well.

Good luck

I concur w/Blk03PSD. It sounds to me like you really want a 6, w/auto.

yes get the 6 2.3l, get the one with power locks and stuff like, the only thing is that the "lil" punch will not be there but that can easily improved (a lil) with an intake and tb ground.

Default Ya, but...

I've heard the 2.3L was better than the V6. Is that true? If so, that would mean I would have to go with a more base version of the 6, which doesn't have the sunroof or spoiler. Right?
Are there any years of the 6 that I should avoid, that you all have heard have notorious problems with? The years I've been looking at are around 05-07. I really only want to spend around $10,000 for the car, and found that is do-able on CL. Thanks for the help.

I have an 08 3 s, with a 1yr old daughter, I would much rather have more room in the back seat, with the car seat and all. But I, not thinking, went more for my pleasure of driving instead of convinience.
