Australian Mazda Astina G25 2022
I have just taken delivery of my new Astina Hatchback Auto.
It's a very comfortable car to drive and is equally equivalent to any of the European vehicles that I have owned.
It is quick when you want it to be and smooth running. (It does not have the LI battery Charging/Drive system)
I only use the car for short trips to my club and the shopping centre.
However I have a few criticisms which in my opinion should be corrected by Mazda.
The i-stop has to be cancelled every time you start the car!! This does nothing for the battery on short trips
if you do not do this!!!!
And even worse the cylinder de-activevication cannot be shut off on medium to long trips above about 50Kph
According to most of the stuff I have read on the internet, this can seriously damage the engine over a period of
5 or more years. If you regularly use the car on the freeways to work you are going to have a problem in the future!!!!
And opinion differs on how much fuel it actually saves???
Also, if you cancel the daylight running lights (DLRs) then the internal lit buttons on the drivers-door controls
and steering wheel and dash board are extinguished.
This make it very difficult to see the buttons during periods of low daylight.
I would appreciate any comments on the above.
