Backup camera question

Backup camera question
New member here! Just bought my first new car 2 days ago, and it's a 2015 mazda3 hatch isport, 6 speed manual, 2.0L. Absolutely love it.
I went for it because it was cheaper and didn't feel I needed the adaptive headlight system, brake assist, blindspot monitoring, etc...however, I do feel as though I would benefit from a backup camera as visibility is limited in that department on this car.
So my question is, because of the new-ness of this car, I can't find much online; so I was wondering if someone here might know if it's possible to get an aftermarket backup camera and connect it to the existing 7" infotainment touch screen that is in the vehicle. It seems entirely feasible, but surely I'm not the first to venture into this and I don't have to break new ground here. I'm very technically inclined and have always done my own work, so no issues there, just don't want to tear apart the dash to discover it's not possible lol. Thanks guys!

A front-ended 3 in a salvage yard might have everything you'd need cheaply. Wiring might be a pain. I dunno.
Rear visibility is fairly poor. That's true of most of the more aerodynamic recent car models though. Personally I only look at the camera if i'm concerned about how close i am to a curb or ditch, I'm more accurate/precise reversing while looking out the back, because the camera is fairly fish-eyed, which gives a bit of a distorted feedback to maneuvering while reversing.
