Hi Guys,

I just purchased Mazda 3 Grand Touring, the main reason I went for this car was due to its front seats ( these seats are heated), as I have back pain this was one of the prime concerns.
But after using this once or twice, I realized that the seats do not get heated every time. It gets heated at times and then other times it just doesn't turn on.

PLEASE HELP.... This is really nonsensical

 

Have you read the manual regarding these? I'm sure there is information about it in there.
I'm just guessing, but I'd say that they are only designed to turn on when the ambient tempature reaches a certain (predetermined) low. If I am not mistaken, w/heated seats you also have heated outside mirrors that work in conjunction w/each other, correct?

You are correct virgin1...there is a threshold above which the seats won't power on...they also cycle on/off to avoid overheating the system/occupant.

If you feel they aren't performing to your expectations, the dealer can verify if they are working properly. Heated seats are a tough one to design for because everyone's expectations are different.

 

And not all areas get the heated mirrors with the heated seats. I think that's only in Canada in North America.

 

And that still ticks me off that we don't get heated mirrors. Here in Ohio you can really use heated mirrors so now I have to buy them seperate.. Thats it the car is for sale... ok just kidding
