Default Cold Air Intake issue.

I just recently Installed a Cold air Intake.. I own a 2009 Mazda3 2.3L Hatch, After Resetting my ecu I turned the car on and she started to freak out alittle..
What I get now when I turn my Car on is Jumpy RPMs and it cuts off... This only happens when the engine is Generally cold I also Just got a Check Engine light, So I checked my flow sensor to notice the O-ring on it has Busted..
I'm about to get that Replaced Right now but I want to know if anyone Else Has Had this problem when installing a Cold air intake on there 2009 Mazda?

Everyone? As far as I know the only folks that put CAIs on their cars are the one under the misconception that their car will be faster or get better fuel economy; errr, unless they like the extra noise.

For my part, no CAI need come anywhere near my car, and if it does, I'd be just as happy to run it over as to look at it.

I have the Mazdaspeed/AEM CAI on my '04 and never had a CEL because of it.

But shipo is right. CAI's don't seem to do anything except make a little more noise and clean up the engine compartment. If I hadn't gotten mine on a deal, I would be really pissed at the lack of upgraded performance and mileage. As it is, I'm only mildly pissed, but I'm keeping it for now.
CAI's are the new automotive version of snake oil as far as I'm concerned. I tried it and can say that from experience.

Maybe they just don't do as much on a station wagon. Ha Ha sorry, I had to get that one in.
Joe, outside what everyone else has said here, your '09 has the stock intake up front where some of the older years pulled in from the wheel well. Please let everyone know if it does anything other than noise once you get your sensor fixed.

:P

Joe, you don't say what intake you have. If it's an eBay special that could be your problem right there.
If the airflow/volume around the MAF is not correct, the ECU will throw a CEL.

ebay is awesome, and to further understand why you wont feel a difference is because we have a electronic throttle body, not only does it not open 100% even @ wide open throttle but it will set the plate yo what is preset given how fast/how much the throttle is pressed down, instead of an instant snap its a gradual increase and depending on how you drive also determines how fast the gradual increase happens....pissed yet cuz i know i am
