Default Cracking/Snapping soudn

I have a 2008 Mazda 3s and love it. I had a 2005 Mazda 6 before this and will not leave the Mazda family anytime soon. But I am puzzled. On my front drivers side window (power windows) when I pull the button for the window to go up right about when the window hits the seal it makes a cracking maybe more of a poping/snapping sound. none of the other windows do it. Then yesterday it stopped, but now it is doing it again. It doesn't even have 15k on it yet so back to the dealership we go, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas. Thanks!

Check this out: http://www.finishlineperformance.com...15-05-1489.pdf
I've had mine "repaired" twice for this w/a few months of smooth sailing and a few yearsof experiencing the noise in between. The real fix is to get the new hardare for the '06-'07 models installed, but it'llcost you, not Mazda.

Here's the complete list (home page) of TSBs for our vehicles: http://www.finishlineperformance.com....php?pageid=12

That's about the size of it... but they are plastic screws through plastic inserts and they do loosen up again through use. DON'T OVERTIGHTEN.... !!

Mr.Spike118 should have the updated metal hardware in his '08, so I'm not sure why his is acting up, unless they weren't torqued correctly from the factory?

I will let you know, seems odd that mine makes the noise. I am bringing it in at 1030 today. As far as new hardware, can you fabricate something? I mean it does get kind of annoying, doesn't seem like it will break anything but the noise is loud. I will let you all know what the dealer says.

not sure if mine has the same noise as yours spike but when shutting my windows it clear sailing till it hits the very top when the window stops and it makes a pretty loud thud or pop like when the window completely seals...in my eyes its just the window making an extremely tight water seal...but i could see that seal weakening as use of the window continues and possibly causing a leak a few years done the road I suppose"CERTAINLY hope not" " Knock on wood!"

They said they wont cover it because it seems to be "an adjustment issue" and I would have to pay 91 for an hours labor.

yes, because adjustments are 12 months/12,000 miles for sounds or adjustment issues. sucks, but it is annoying I might just live with it or fix it myself.
