Didn't you bring this idea up a couple of months ago? I distinctly remember talking about this with somebody. Did you end up custom building a housing, or did you grab that from something like the z3? Are you planning painting the black part body color?

It is the same length and thickness of the stock signal. Only taller. It is actually a trailer light that has been sanded down and painted. I kinda like the black, it goes with the trim on the doors and mirrors. I also didn't have the $ to get the exact paint at the time.

I based my idea on the BMW Z4 turn signals, only I don't have the option of recessing them into the body.

Are you serious? The mirrors stick out way further.

Also OP check out paintscratch.com. They can send you spray cans that match your factory paint. Not too expensive either.
