Default dash protection...

I'm a freak about protecting the interior of my car from the sun's ultraviolet rays....I kept a sun shade thing in my windshield even as winter is ending...my question is - can you use a product like armor-all on the dashboard of the Mazda3? From what I see, it doesnt look like the standard vinyl or whatever was in my previous car... what do you guys use to keep all that stuff from drying out?

thanks a bunch
-mike

I've used Meguir's Natural Shine Vinyl and Rubber spray about three times (had my Mazda for 1 month) on the dash with no problems.

I'm pretty sure the Inst Panel is made of poly-propylene. It's pretty durable stuff. Regular cleaners/conditioners work fine. What I'm not sure about however, is whether or not there are painted areas on the dash (like the panel in the center @ the top of the IP above the wierd horizontal trim piece...It seems like it may be painted.) Some of the painted interior finishes don't like Armor all too much.

You can you just about anything but just make sure the product isn't water based b/c over time it will dry out your vinyl.

I use armor all and have had no problems, all it does is make the car look better! I use Meguiers Leather Care however for the leather, it does an amazing job and smells good also!
