Yep, this worked perfectly to turn the mileage computer on in my 07 Touring. BUT the big question is....why does Mazda hide this feature on the Touring!?!?!?!?!?

I believe the thinking isif the Touring had virtually all thebells & whistles that the so-called higher end models have ... fewer people would choose the higher end model.

Acomment on the mileage computer. The Average MPG number mine spits out is not super accurate. Oddly, it's not consistent high or low, it varies +/- by up to2 MPG. Considering it's a "computer" I think that's quite a bit of variation.

I have a 2008 Mazda 3i Touring.

I did step one, holding down FM/AM and CD buttons when turning on the car, and "DIS ON" displayed on the radio. Of course, since I don't have the GT version, I don't have an "INFO" button. I also do not have a "SET" button, except for the cruise control. Even though I can't imagine this is the button y'all are referring to, I tried it anyway, and it does nothing.

Here are the buttons on my radio: TIME, :00, FM/AM, SAT, CD, MEDIA. Is it the ":00" button? That doesn't seem to do anything either.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ryan,

Those must be a few of the subltle differences between the '07 & '08. On the '07, the first button is "Clock," and the next is "Set." Try your ":00" button in place of the "Set," and let us know if it works.

this thing is so inaccurate though. the mileage goes down so quickly, even if im just going down the block.

Hitting ":00" does nothing in regards to the DIS. I have *not* tried hitting FM/AM and CD every time I turn on the car, so I may try that this afternoon.

hey folks. i don't normally use the avg comsume and all that other meters, but i only use the "how many miles are left in your car" i believe that's the most accurate info u can get out of your system.

Is anyone able to switch from litres to kms to miles per gallon on this thing. I am Canadian eh, so my car was set to litres to kms. It would be interesting to see miles per gallon. It says it can be done in the car manual. But I have had no luck.

Just wanted to say that this worked perfectly on my 2006 3s sedan.
Nice little feature.

Now lets figure out how to unlock the rest of the goodies!
