electrical wiring
My wife has a mobile phone that sits in the centre console plugged into the cigarette lighter socket and is very rarely used. It is mainly for emergencies etc. I pay once a year and it has never run out of time.
The problem is it often goes flat and can only be used when the ignition is turned on and power is applied to the lighter socket.
I would like to wire the lighter socket direct to a close battery source and thereby allowing it to be fully charged at all times.
Has anyone managed to get a wiring diagram that may give me a clue.

Locate the fuse panel near the driver's door and probe around for the +12V "hot" side feeding the fuses, then run a wire WITH AN IN-LINE FUSEHOLDER ASSEMBLY IN IT to a convenient "hot" side source. Fit a 20 Amp. fuse and you're good to go.
