Flip Key?
#2
I'm not sure exactly what a "flip key" is, do you mean the kind where you press a button on the remote and the key pops out?
If so, my '08 Miata had that so it was available for that model year, but I am not sure if it is compatible with the 3 or not.
Also, I think you will have second thoughts when you see the price since the remote is part of it.

For 2004-2006 it's about $75. For 2007 and up, it will be an expensive process. Here's a post from this site. Read icspots post.

Yes and no. While the thread Lev linked has a pretty good explanation some of it is no longer correct.
First off there are no OEM options for any '07+ US Mz3/MS3 models. The idea of using a Canadian KEU was tried and it flat out didn't work, plus it caused some problems with the TPMS. A few owners have postulated on removing the physical components from the circuit board on their remotes and replacing the components on a flip key board but I've not seen anyone go through with that.
Recently a few aftermarket flip keys have become available. These are basically empty remote housings and require you to remove the circuit board from your regular remote and install it in the flip remote housing. One of the keys is styled more after VW flip keys with the key blade sitting 90 degrees to the housing. This housing also requires you to remove a transponder chip from an existing key (or buy a new key to cannibalize). One comment a user made about it is that since the blade is 90 degrees off of the OEM one that it made depressing the key lock button on the ignition difficult when removing the key. The second one that's available (from alibaba.com) is shaped exactly like the OEM flip key and includes a transponder chip. From what users have said it doesn't have quite the fit and finish of the OEM, but is still better than the other option.
Neither of these aftermarket flip keys have holes for the panic button as many 3's in other countries don't have the panic feature. A few members have simply removed the button components from their circuit boards, and a few have drilled holes in the housings to accommodate the panic button. On the one hand I never use my panic function so I'd probably be fine with the button not being there. On the other hand I like things to be as OEM as possible so removing the button would probably annoy me.
There are details and pictures of both of these keys in the key thread linked in my signature.

icspots, I see you have an aux input thread. I checked it out and saw i can put an aux jack in my car. My FM transmitter broke and any new one i got could not match the quality of my old one. I wanted to know where to purchase the "Aux Mod Basic," and if there are any write ups of the installation process? Oh yeah, how did your angel eye and HID set up go?

Click on the Audio Input thread linked in my signature. The auxmod is from sylfex.com and works great, however they can be hard to come by and the guy who runs the site isn't great about getting back to people. There are several other simple input options listed in that thread, though price wise I recommend the grom.
Installation is simple..... remove the dash strip, remove two screws and pull HU, install module (plug into HU) and run the cable where you want it.
The headlight stuff went pretty well. HERE's the discussion thread on it. The short of it is my driver's low beam halo crapped out and had to be returned. I got the replacement but haven't yet put it in, so to balance it out I disconnected the passenger low beam halo and just have the high beam halos on either side. I love the HIDs, clear lens and projector mods and am super happy with them.

There are two of those "dummy" cases that I mentioned above.
