Si. That is correct. The fan speed matters not. The compressor will cycle based onwhere the temperature dial is set. That is what determines how much power/mileage the A/C robs from the engine.

Forbidden, you must enjoy driving your 3 like I do. However, when you get out on the highway ata constant speed - I'll guess you'll get 34+ mpg.

In my 2004 3s 5door w/ 2.3l and auto, I have found that, on the highway, cruise setat 75, I am getting 29.7 - 29.9; in town, I get 23.5.
