Getting bad gas mileage!

Getting bad gas mileage!
I have an 05 3S with 33600 miles on it. In mid december i went to the dealer and got new tires and an oil change. After that i noticed that instead of getting around 320 miles a tank i am only getting around 280-290 miles. I thought i might have needed a new air filter so i got one. I found it quite difficult to find an air filter for this car. I went to 7 different places to find it otherwise i would havehad to special order it. I put the new airfilter in and there was no difference. Then i thought it might have been the gas station i was going to so i went to a few different ones and there was no difference. Two days ago, for some reason, my check engine light came on for a few hours and then shut off.Whenthe lightwas on i felt no difference in the car's performance. I am thinking the dealer must have slipped somewhere when changing the oil and did something. I don't see any puddles where i park my car so i know i am not leaking anything. Before i bring the car to a different dealer i would like to here any of your opinions on what might be causing this. Thanks in advance.

I get 480 miles per tank in 10 degree temperatures. I have a Mazda 6, which is much heavier. You should be getting at least 560 miles per tank in your 3!

RE: Getting bad gas mileage!
yea that's what's happening to my car too (I have an 05 mzd3 i) but I installed an AEM CAI. I know that my intake is causing the poor mileage..I can't take it to the dealer cause they're just gonna say its my intake and charge me way too much just for looking at it. any suggestion on a fix? I also know that having a CAI will lower ur mileage a bit...mine is ridiculous, I use up half a tank in like 2 - 3 days when it used to be a quarter tank or less. I don't push the car or anything..my driving stayed the same, use the same gas (89octane) and also drove to the same places everyday. any suggestions would be great...thanks !

I regularly go 360 miles on a tank if it is mostly highway (2.0L 5-speed stick ~80 mph), putting in around 12 gallons when I fill it up (I've averaged ~28 mpg over the 46,000 miles I've put on my car.)

RE: Getting bad gas mileage!
you pretty much have to drive by what the manual says
so shifting under 2000rpm all the time, and being really light on the gas.
i tried that once, but i shifted at 2500rpm, and i got 350km/tank, and this was all city driving, in the winter
