A bung is a term used for the plug in wine & spirit casks (hence the term, "bung hole" ), but has been extended in this case to include a threaded insert.

Yeah I have OBX's version of there header with no cat and I get a cel on the damn time too the first position isn't the problem its the second one...My guess is that you bung the second hole which mine is sock because OBX's pretty take our header and cuts stright down the middel were our cat used to be. So my second o2 position is still thestock pipe.

Anyway in my case I'm assuming i would have to nut the second one shut and bung a new hole after the first resonator? then no cel?

Yeah the bung won't solve anything, I don't know what you guys are talking about... All the bung is going to do is push the sensor out of the pipe a little bit and from my experience and other people's is that you'll still throw a CEL code instead of saying "warm up catalyst efficency below threshold" you'll get "Bank 1 Sensor 2 slow response"

I got it all the time with the bung in the second position. I have tried just about every trick in the book without plugging the second hole and moving back behind the first resonator and every time I still got a different CEL code
