Default Headlight Mod

I've always wanted that blue and purple flicker on my lights. I've seen pictures on how to do it but never wanted to attempt it. I'm an amateur at fiddling with cars, and baking the light is what worried me most. Well, I got over that fear and finally succumbed to do it. I found a great write up and followed it step by step, picture by picture. I planned this in my head the day before and started my Sunday off at 9am. I took a trip to Lowes. Got a can of spray paint and a metal filer, then went home and got down to business. Let me tell you, It was well worth the 5 hrs worth of work. It was a great and rewarding project to do. Here's the write up I used. I didn't buy the clear lens, and I also spaced the lens with 2 size 8 washers and aluminum foil for more color:

Here's the original link I saw about the headlight mod. This one also explains the spacing with aluminum foil and where to get the lens.

I don't know how to post pictures on a thread, but i uploaded them onto my album on this forum.

So where are some finished pictures? FYI if you decide to go with the clear lens at some point it will drastically clean up the cut off. Also the clear lens comes with a spacer to replace the aluminum foil.

This is one of my favorite mods I've done. Absolutely amazing.

For posting pictures first upload them to somewhere (either the forum or an online storage site such as picasa, photobucket, etc). Then post the url of your pictures between image tags. It would look like this except replace the "<" with "["

Thanks Spots for the input. Here are the pics. I couldn't get a good head on but the cut off color against the garage door does it justice.

The car was 10-15 ft from the garage door

It was a spur of the moment project. I was contemplating it before i went to sleep and figured i had all day Sunday to do it. It was a great day to do it to. Sunny and in the high 50s or low 60s. In the future, if i put angel eyes on i may consider the clear leans. It will most likely distribute the light better. I'm loving every time I'm behind someone and I see my headlights turn purple and blue or passing white road signs and they turn purple (drool). I have a sick obsession with HID's and how the OEM set up for HID's works. This just made me love my car so much more

Tracker: DO IT!!!!!! I didn't use any power tools, just a mill file, heavy duty pliers, a metal cutter, and elbow grease. All stuff I found in my garage, except the mill file. I got that at lowes for 4 bucks, and the spray paint for 8 i think.

Here are some more pics. Sorry for the quality. My only camera is my cell phone.
The car is about 15ft from the garage door.
