Exclamation Headlights and bumper

This is effing retarded.

I couldn't figure out how to work the retaining clips for the headlights on the car so i said screw it and took it to a local garage. apparently they couldn't figure it out either. So what did they do? THEY LIQUID NAILED MY HEADLIGHTS INTO THE SOCKET. They didn't give me a receipt so I can't prove it at all.

There is no way to "prove" they did it so I can't go back to them to "fix" it. God knows what they would do to it anyway.

How do I take off the front bumper shell to take out the head light assembly? You have no space to work with it on the car so I'm hoping I can take both head lights out and use some kind of dissolve to break the glue down. While I have them out I can figure out how to work the damn retaining clips

Yeah, those are Satan's retention clips. Pure evil.

To remove the bumper/headlights
-open hood
-remove ~8-10 8mm (I think) bolts from the underside of the front of the bumper
-remove plastic anchors (maybe 2/side) from front of the wheel fender well.... unscrew gently and then pull them out
-pull back the fender well liner and remove 1 bolt/side pointing upwards at the top/back corner of the bumper cover where it meets the fender
-grab the sides of the bumper and pull away from the car to release the clips
-remove two large bolts from front center of bumper by grill
-remove two large rubber topped plastic anchors from the same area
-making sure to release the big hooks in the center (and that the sides are loose) pick the cover up from the front center and pull off of the front of the car

For the headlights there are 3-4 bolts or large screws to remove. Once those are loose they just slide out. Assuming you can remove the liquid nails it's pretty easy to reinsert the clip when you can get more than one finger to the back of the lights.

I would definitely go back and speak with the manager at the shop you went to because 1) they shouldn't perform any "repair" (and I use that word loosely in this case) without your authorization, and 2) just saying **** it and gluing your headlight in is retarded. What happens the next time one burns out?
