Help - 2006 3 power loss when cold
Hi everyone,
A friend has a 2006 3 with 50k miles. Recently she has experienced some power loss early in the morning on the highway when the car has not yet reached full temperature. From her description it sounded like a fuel filter clogging - engine hesitating - , except that it goes away when the engine is fully warm.
Any ideas of simple stuff she can check before taking it in to an indy?
Some info:
-check engine light is OFF
-crankcase has oil, oil changed recently and regularly through the life of the car
-coolant level OK
- car is driven ~40 miles per day highway to work, with lots of long highway trips
Thanks in advance for any ideas. Im clueless on gas cars let alone a modern one - Im used to 80's mercedes diesels.
Regards,
Mike
