the cold air intake is going to do a better job, by giving you better gas milage and more horsepower. but of course its $210 more then just a filter. the CAI lets you hear your engine more then just a filter will.

Cold Air intake is great thing to have, it will improve your gas mileage, but do not forget, Cold Air intake sucks air faster thus giving you cold air instead of hot, the most noticable power gain is at higher gears or speeds, sucking cold air your engine becomes more responsive than it does with hot air. Cold air intake also makes that sweet sound where you can hear your engine, but for some like me i preffer keep that $210 in my pocket and custom build it for $80 almost 3 times cheaper than Injen. The only concern about Cold Air intakes is the Flooding, if you live in the states where it rains rarelly than you are fine but if you are like me in the area with REALLY hard rainfalls and lots of floodings Cold Air intake is the problem, even if you have Intake Bypass Valve still it may do some damage, why even give those chances? But like i said, if it doesn't rain there alot and your do not mind spending $210 than go for it, I prefer just to stick to K&N filter for now, and maybe later may think of Making Cold Air Intake.
