How many tickets have you gotten with your Mazda 3?

And not to mention a radar detector does not work with pacing, timing or airplanes, all 3 ways stand up in court for a speeding ticket.
BTW, back in the day I used to be in the ticket of the night club just driving home in Longmont Colorado. Lesson Learned, never take a drunk 16 Y/O to her home after you find them staggering around on Main Street, it might be a cops daughter

Where I live (New England area), the police don't use pacing, timing or airplanes. I guess it would require too much effort on their part. All I ever see is a guy with a radar gun, or a car with radar mounted on the outside and active all the time. I haven't even seen laser in use around here.
I agree that a radar detector is not a panacea for speeding tickets, nor is it a license to speed. But when used intelligently, and in combination with smart driving (e.g. following a distance behind someone else going fast, etc.), it dramatically reduces the chances of getting stopped, at least in places where radar is the primary police tool to nail speeders. I haven't gotten a single speeding ticket in the last 20+ years I've been driving with a remote-mount radar detector installed in each car I've owned.

yea a detector is fine (in most states) but a scrambler is reallllllly bad (maybe illegal) to have. Cops want to know why you ride by them at what looks like 20+ over the spd limit and the radar gun just shows a bunch of lines.

Dude you got 20 in your MAZDA3?! Welll then again I have been pulled over 16 times... and only 2 tickets in the Mazda3. First one was a month after I got the car for 85-50. (keep in mind its KM/H not MPH). And my other one was funny. It was a 95 in a 80 but I got a letter from the ministry of transportation saying that I had to go to some sort of driving school to keep my license... 4 people later I find out I "got a ticket for 95-50" then I called the Guelph courts and they found out they made a mistake. So no points on that ticket and its been two and a half years since my other ticket so my license is cleaner then most of yours WAHHOOO. Oh yea and a ticket in my buddies 1995 Chevy S-10 for expired plates... 110$... FML
