Yes, that would help.I know my red leather seats ("65 Volvo 1800S) were like icicles in the winter,but you still have the summer heat to contend with. They would burn if the car was left out in the sun, and still make you sweat mercilessly under less extreme conditions.
I know that in upscale luxury cars these days they have both heating AND cooling, but to me that just ridiculous to need that just so your leather interior doesn"t kill you in extreme weather.
I like my cloth interior. In fact the cloth in my old Civic was Trico, usually reserved for women"s bras, but I loved it. It was soft and pretty hard wearing too, and warmed/cooled very quickly. No need for additional heat or cooling.
