I once checked the WIX filter site out of curiosity (thanks Ken!) and the 2.0L Mazda engine takes the same filter as my wife's Saturn.
Yeah. Should be REALLY easy to get for a long, LONG time.

 

I received my spin on filter adapter from the 2.0 engine today and noticed that there is a threaded port on it. Do I also need to purchase a plug for this or is there one on the cartridge style mount that can be removed and put in this one? I just want to have everything that I need before I begin the swap.

 

I am pretty sure (99%) that is where the oil pressure sensor goes. So you would remove it from the old housing.
