I'd like to re-introduce myself
HI! An old member returning, seeing whats up with everyone. Noticed tracker is nowa moderator, lol aint that somethin'? I own an 06 mazda3 sedan 2.0 autotragic w/slap stick(uber slow). Havent modded, might in the future though depending on the answer to this question-"after adding to performance mods, will the computer relearn and correct itself and go back to stock power?" let the post-whoring commence!

RE: I'd like to re-introduce myself
14.7:1 is the perfect air/fuel ratio and the PCM is programed to achieve that by various inputs and outputs. The PCM has perameters and not fixed settings persay. So say if you gave it more air it would compensate and you would still have more power. Give it headers and better flow it will add more power and not compromise the PCM's goal of achieving 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio. There is a point that you can go past the abilities of the PCM's parameters. It can only advance/retard the timing, change the injector dwell so far. Really depends on what you do and how far you go. You can trick the system to do what you want up to a point.

Awesome, thanks. the only problem i have now is that i cant afford the upgrades i had my eyes on when i WAS making money. Back when this forum was new, everyone told me that it was pointless to do upgrades because it'll go back to stock after a few hundred miles[:@][:@][:@]. Now since i know, im definately opting for a new exhaust system, since im close to running out on my warranty

That's only 2 model years ago Jaime, andprobably less in time driven/owned.
Krim, I believe you have the 3yr/32K warranty on the '06 models, right? You probably have about half of that left, unless you've racked up the miles?
The earlier models, like mine, had a 4yr/50K, but I think it was '06 when they reduced that and started getting stingier.

well just the fact that i didnt think that it was still under warranty. probably because i figure that that was 2 years ago and the mileage has surpased is mark. but then again i am probably wrong
