Well, I have to admit that mzdaspd304is correct. You can eliminate the PCV hose if you wish to. Remember though that since pressurized gases will be trying to escape from the insideof the valve cover, that it is the inside of the breather filter that you will need to check and replace from time-to-time to keep the system free flowing. It will eventually clog w/oil. I don;t know what it might do to your emissions testing. Maybe nothing?

Nick, I have to tell you that I've read and responded to your posts on two different forums and three threads now.I also know how difficult it can be to learn about cars/engines and stuff when you have no experience or a mentor close by, but it really seems to me that you don't know enough to tackle this on your own and you are liable to get yourself into some trouble. Add to that, that this SRI you bought is not very well designed for the street (apparently) and especially the inexperienced DIYer.

We are a helpful group here. That is one of the main functions of a forum like this one. I think I can safely say that wewill try to answer your questions, but be prepared for some difficulties that only an experienced mechanic or DIYer on site can do for you.OK?

I still wish you'd just send the damned thing back and get a REAL intake, but I can see that you are determined.....

agreed. If you don't know what you are doing, it is always helpful to learn and do research about the product before buying...Compare the system you bought to the stock system..They are almost nothing alot...If you are looking for a performance gain and an increase in MPG the best way to go is with a CAI due to what i said before. To be honest, I've installed hundreds of intake of different cars.. I used to work at Auto Zone and they used to call the the "intake Specialist" lol becuase i knew so much about them but when it came to putting this one on, my car I could get the second piece off that was rivited to the car off and I had have this professionally installed. Its all part of the learning process. we all learn somehow...just for me it always seems the hard way lol

^ ^ ^ The hard way.... You too?

But at least we've been trying to install parts/mods that are properly designed for the car. This thing you bought is not well thought out or designed.
