iPhone Wifi connection problem
I have a 2014 Mazda3s touring. The car's will not accept my iPhone's WiFi hotspot signal even though it recognizes the wifi source and lets me enter the password I set up. It thinks a bit and then gives my the system error screen.
A few facts.
- Yes, I just went to the dealer and they updated my car infotainment software.
- Yes, the wifi hotspot on my iPhone works. It supplies wifi to other devices like my laptop without a problem.
- Yes, my car pairs with my iPhone bluetooth just fine.
- The service tech has an Android phone and my car accepted his wifi hot spot without a problem.
Does anyone one else have a problem with their Mazda 3 accepting wifi from their iPhone? Were there problems and how did you solve them?

Question: What does connecting the Mazda Infotainment system to your phone WiFi do for you? Does it just give quicker traffic info than what is picked up off HD radio?
Sorry, can't help with your connection problem (have an Android phone).

Solution bump
My solution was turning on "Maximise Compatibility" under Settings > Personal Hotspot at my iPhone.
