My car is locked, but both key fobs will not unlock. I have replaced the battery in my Mazda key fob, but still no response on door locks etc... the red light on the fob flashes, but still nothing. It’s a push to start Mazda so I don’t have any way to manually unlock it. Do my keys need to be reprogrammed?

 

What generation or year Mazda3 do you have?

If it is 2014 or newer, there should be a key inside the fob that can be used to open the door. You should be able to use the fob to push the start button to get the car started.

If you have a second key fob, does it work?


You may need to reprogram the key, I do not know about that process or you may have a second bad battery.
