Looking to buy a new car! I need your help please!
Well I will start by saying, I know nothing about cars. I bought a 1992 Cavalier z24 convertable, butthe problems this car is giving me is driving me nuts! So I've done some searching and I really feel the Mazda3 Sedan is what I want/need.
I will be working a sales job that requires me to have a car, and the mazda3 looks great, but what do I do now?
I've been looking on AutoTrader.ca for a 2004-2008 Mazda3, and price is a BIG issue. I live in toronto. Can someone please tell me what to look for? What kind of gimmiks to watch out for? I don't wanna be slapped with a "Dumb car buyer Tax" that I've seen before! LOL
Whats a good price, and I really don't want private sales, I just want to finance/lease and get it to work! Any and all help would be GREATLY appriciated!
I've searched forums, read postings, and I'm coming to a stand still as to where to find a decent off lease or used car. Every dealer and their friend seems to lie about something!
http://www.trader.ca/powerpage/detai...p;adid=6956724is an example of what I think would be awesome! Thanks again!

Go with an 08. Here's why. Mazda3s havevery verygood resale value. You could get an 04 for around 12k? 13k? (us dollars). When really you can get an 08 for 17,500? 3-4 thousand dollars more gets you brand spanking new, full warranty, plus that amazing resale value.
what has dealerships lied about?
And that 04 is nice. Thats probably a pretty good deal. It's right at the average kms for that year. Good price. Go with it. But remember all the benefits for an 08.... 5 grand more. In four years you can sell it for 12 or 13

IT was a private dealer in woodbridge, my friend did a carfax check or something and it showed the vechicle in an accident. Perhaps they just didn't know. And thank you for the input, just what I was looking for! Thats a really good point too. Although I don't think I could get the leather and Sunroof for a decent price from a dealer for an 08 haha

2004 was the first year of production for the current generation Mazda 3, numerous improvements have been made over the course of time. A lot of little things, but collectively, they mean that recent model years are noticeably better. So, I'd be inclined to get as new of one as you can afford.Getting onewith some portion of the bumper to bumper warranty left would be good to have.
I have the 2.0 engine, quite happy with the mileage I get. The 2.3 will suck more gas. Something to think about, given current prices.
