Lower control arms throws off alignment

Lower control arms throws off alignment
I replaced my lower control arms for the third time in three years. They bolted right up as always with no issues. The inner tire on both sides has worn down to the belts in less than a month! What did I do wrong this time? I preloaded the strut and everything was torqued to spec. Thanks

Not to argue seriously having worked on hundreds of suspensions but it common practice as well sense that any suspension part replaced you should check the alignment even with dampener replacements. There is NO perfect quality control on all parts manufactured that will guarantee not the posibility for alignment after replacing them. I will say I have not personally had any of my or customers needing alignment after simple dampener replacement I would guess at least a higher percentage OF THE TIME NEEDING IT WHEN ANY CONTROLL ARMS , ball joint, steering componhttps://wheelssize.com/bolt-pattern/mazda/mazda3/2018/ets bushings etc even at times CV axles . ARE REPALCED.
I have to wonder why in the first place are you wearing the control arms out so soon??? Lots of none highway driving, off roading, loading the vehicle constantly, vehicle frame damage etc., ect., ect.!!!???
I read your other threads and problems some may be related to your control arm problem, like your interesting transmission mount breaking?

Well I gave up and went to an alignment shop. Turns out the tow was out two and half inches on either side for a grand total of five inches! This destroyed two sets of tires over three months. Ooops. I will try to remember that even direct bolt on parts need to be checked for alignment!

At least you finally found out what it was, and you should have no more premature tire wear from that problem!
Your problem has me starting to think about making my own adjustable rear lower control arms. But to do that I will need to convert the tube shock and I won't be able to use my airbag assist. Hmm maybe I won't do the conversion now that I rethink about what I will lose?
