Lowering Springs
#12
spring rates and drop height are not the samething if thats what your thinking, the spring rate my be higher in the front since there is more weight so it will even out the drop, but the spring manufacturer should tell you the drop height for front and back anyway. Yes the mazdaspeed kit is pretty fkin expensive but it comes with a warranty, thats why im putting together my own setup.

I know but most springs tell you that they'll drop your front by 1.4" and rear by 1.2". and stuff like that. That is an uneven drop isn't it?
If I bought the Mazda Spring Kit, would I get a warranty on my suspension for it then?

No. Only for the parts themselves and if memory serves, its a 12 month warranty (Mazda "green"?) on "defective manufactured parts" only.
None the less, they are a good choice.
A Prokit can cost $200 (-1.2"/-1.2".) A set of SBC adjustable upper camber links (what I'm running) are +/-$200. I got mine cheaper but am a patient buyer and found a really good deal... several years ago.
I agree that the 3 is pretty low as it is. Going lower you have to make some serious concessions just to jack it up to do basic maintenance!! 'Sure you are ready for a 2-3 stage jack up just to change oil and filter?

I used a low profile jack and drove up on a 1 foot piece of a 2X12, but I do that with the Mustang also and I always do it when washing to get all the tires clean and to get the Armor All on that little piece of tire you can't get when it is on the ground.
