Default Mazda 3 SP23 Stereos

Hi, I have a Mazda 3 SP23 and have been trying to add a sub and amp for a bit more bass. With the factory head unit being built specially for the car i dont want to have to pull the interior apart and apparently they dont have RCA outputs on the stereos anyway so to bypass that i have used a Hi/Low frequency converter. This is the first time using one but i figured it out and think it has been installed successfully, although the amp has been installed the exact same way as any other installation i have done, beside the frequency converter, there is no where near enough sound coming from the subs. I have tried two different amps and cant seem to get enough volume to them, the headunit and factory speakers are working fine though. Any ideas why its not working like it should, is there something in these new stereos that make it harder to add extras or something, please help. If easier send a text to 0447003819 with info or just reply to the post, Thanks in advance

IIRC the SP23 has the bose audio system and should have an amp and sub installed under the front seats. If it does have the Bose system then note that the HU doesn't have an internal amp, thus why you're probably seeing low audio output if you're using a LOC..... the LOC is expecting an amped signal and it's just getting line signal.

Confirm that with an audio person, but I'm pretty sure that's correct.
