Mazda 3 Sport 2.0ltr, 2007, ABS Pump.
Hello everyone! A Couple of questions please...
I Have a Mazda 3 Sport 2.0ltr 2007 Reg. I Have only just bought it. The traction control light was on so I have had the car diagnosed by several places I know & they have all diagnosed the ABS Pump. I Am having real problems finding a secondhand ABS Pump with the same part number as the one on our car which is 6N612C405GA. I Have found a couple with one letter difference at the end such as CA & AA. Does anyone out there know if I have to have EXACTLY the same ABS Pump part number as on mine? I Carnt understand why exactly the same make and model Cars ie Mazda 3 Sport 2007 have totally different part numbers for the same item! Will any ABS Pump from a 2007 Mazda 3 2.0 Sport fit on my car???
Second question does anyone have one of these to sell or can anyone point me in the right direction? I Must of made 200 phone calls over the last couple of days to breakers on ebay & the internet. As I have said I have been offered pumps for £90 delivered with a part number almost the same but I dont want to buy anything that might not work.
Thank you in advance!

The last two letters of the part number indicates a supersession. eg AA may go to AB, AC etc.
Also you will need to configure/programme the replacement pump. This may not be possible with a 2nd hand pump. ( I've never fitted a 2nd hand unit, only new ones)

Thanks for the reply mate! Sorry but can you please explain what you mean about suppression etc??? (I am not a mechanic!!!). Does that mean an ABS Pump with a diff part number may fit my car? After all the car its come off is the same car as ours.
Why are there different part numbers when they are fitting on exactly the same car??? There seems to be six different part numbers for this ABS Pump fitted on the Mazda 3 Sport.

The first pumps built would be #AA, then they would bring out a newer/updated pump eg #AB, 3rd version would be #AC, 4th would be #AD etc etc. Its just minor/minute changes made.
The changes might be electrical, mechanical, different materials.
