Default Mazda 3 Sport - Disconnected Battery Now Trip and Switches Not Working

Hello everyone...

Had a bit of an issue only 2 weeks after picking up my 2005 Mazda 3 Sport - moved the seat back to fit new mats......then notice the airbag warning light is ont he dash....I spoke to main dealer who advised disconnecting battery and checking connections under the seat.

I did this and still nothing but now I cannot use the stereo - I have a bose 6 cd in dash changer and the FM1/2 button, the Trip button and the power button do not work so I am unable to reset the clock. I have input the correct code into the radio and can use the radio and cd by using the steering wheel buttons.

Has anyone any idea as all I did was disconnect and connect the negative terminal.....

By the way the airbag warning light no longer comes on except when ignition is initially switched on.

Is the unit buggered, or do I need to get it flashed and if so where can I do this and any idea how much this is to fix in the UK??

Thanks

Diver
