Mazda 3 stuck in park
Apologies if this has been covered previously.
When I start my car it usually (but not always) won't allow me to change out of park - I can press the button next to the gearstick to override this so it is not currently a huge problem.
I'm wondering:
Will it become a problem or can it wait a few months to be looked at when I need to take it into the garage?
Does it actually need fixing?
Alternatively, is there an easy way to fix it?
(The brake lights definitely still work).
Thanks very much, Niall.

Try putting on the hand brake first before putting the car in Park when you are done with the car.
Then when you are ready to go next day, put the car in gear first, then release the handbrake.
The handbrake prevents the car from moving so it's easier to select your gear.
also, Check your transmission fluid level.
