Hey people, i have a mazda 3 2.0 L engine and it's 2004 model. my ehalights (xenons) are yellow and the new mazda 3's have bright lights, can u help me out how to get it and where, and if it is possible just to get a xenon bulb and switch it with the old one. Because i went to the dealership and they rold me that in order to get it i have to change the whole front light system , i mean they have to change the headlights, turing lights in order to have it. I would appreciate if somebody helped me with that, Im from california.

If you want to get HIDs then you would have to buy (at the least) an aftermarket HID kit. That would include H7 HID bulbs plus ballasts/ignitors and the wiring to hook them up. HIDs and halogens differ in how they work, so you wouldn't be able to just plug in a HID bulb and have it work. Also any halogen bulb that says it's "xenon" isn't the same thing.

The projectors between the halogen and HID setups are different. The HID ones have different shields and spread the light much more evenly around the viewing area. That being said many people have put HID kits into their halogen projectors and been fine. The other difference between the HID and halogen lights is that the HIDs have leveling motors in the headlight so you can aim the projector up/down to compensate for weight in the back of the car.
