I was thinking of buying this car, but cannot find anything on the speaker sizes for the front and back.
Does anyone happen to know what they are?

IIRC, they are 5x7.
however, you can also fit 6 1/2" speakers as well, but u need the brackets for them

Now I just need to find someone who has added a sub to this car with the stock deck and find out

just ask him. he has the 07 which is almost the same

 

Actually, the are the Ford version 6"x 8", but most 5x 7's will fit too.
6.5's will fit with an adapter plate.

 

You will need an LOC or JL Audio's cleansweep or Rockfords 360 in order to add amp(s) and sub. Most prefer the 360 because it has an x-over(cross-over). Both JL's and Rockfords bring a flat EQ, but if you're not a huge car audio fan, an LOC will do the job of adding the amp/sub and save you over $250.

 

if you just want some extra bass, just get a cheaper LOC. it'll do the trick.
if you really want to pound, buy a high end LOC, as it will have gain levers, bass levels, and others.

fyi, on a stock deck, when you turn the sound up, the stock deck automatically turns the bass down to prevent damage to the speakers.

 

hey dentdinger, how much did you pick up your JL's for? im wantig to trade in my POS elementals. Then again, im thinkin about selling them altogether and save up for 1 13W7 *shrug* it all depends on my patience. still, how much were your W3's?
