Default MAZDA3 heater control link Issue

2015 M3. The armature just falls off the rotating drum that controls heat passage to vents
and especially to the Defrost. I can't move it past 1/2 way for either Air Conditioning or Heating
or the arm just falls off. How do I keep this arm captivated so the controls work normally?
I tired of removing my glovebox so I can see when I desperately need defrost in the AM.
Any quick fixes??

Your best bet would be contacting a wrecking yard for a 2nd hand heater box.

I don't understand WHY the cable pulls the armature off the rotating wheel.
Could you explain? I just contacted my Local Mazda dealer and they told me
there was a Service Bulletin for a Cable fix. Has anyone done this update??

Mazda is unlikely to supply the parts you need individually. They will most likely only list a complete heater box. Hence the reason for going 2nd hand.

Default Did you find a solution?

I am having the same issue. I believe the problem is a missing screw see picture - but am having a hard time finding part number. See picture. I worderd what it thought was the correct part and is seams to thread okay but too long, or maybe I just need to tighten it more, just afraid i may break something if it is in fact too long.
