Hi, does anyone know if the the stock 17"s rims on the 3 will fit the speed3?

Sure they will! But if you're going to go that route, why not stab a set of RX8 wheels on? They look very similar to the 17's and they're going to look better than the OEM 17's(sorry-my opinion) will on the car.

 

nice i would do the same thing, take off the speed3 badging and replace it all with the regular mazda 3 2.3 badging it will make it stealth

 

No need to remove the badging here. Nobody knows the difference anyway.

 

Well you can know the difference just by looking at the fog lights

So true. I am a truck driver so you can imagine most of my fellow employees are into the big 50k trucks and friggan mustangs and such. Though seeing all the Bikes and old vets and stangs is sweet in the summer. I've tried on a few occasions to tout my car a bit and i'll be damned if they don't still think it's a 'stationwagon'. and all the qualities a station wagon would have lol.A few know, but they are already tweaking their boost in 3 rotor RX-7's and such. From the factory and warranted, a legit track machine, daily driver, wrapped into even though a hot package, a sleeper one at that. This is grand!

 

Exactly what I am talking about. Even if it said "SPEED3" in big letters across the side, they wouldn't know what in the hell it meant. So why bother with the badges.

 

The less they know the better.... but even when I had my plain old golden 3- everyone and their soccer moms would come up and compliment the car. Station wagon or not- speed or no speed -the 3 is bold, but hey I'm bias

But I just got my speed3 yesterday. I originally was wondering if the stock 3 rims would fit because I wanted to use them for winter. I'll have to try them on. Although I've been seriously considering buying a hoopty for winter. My speed3 is black mica and upstate NY winters on a black car may be too harsh......

 

well i live in nh and its 50 out today, i wouldn't mind this all winter. you could just get new winter tread also its not too expensive
