As it turns out, it is a portable (on wheels) 12,000 btu air conditioner/heater for my shop. The only real problem is that my shop has so much in it already that finding floor space is going to be difficult. I wanted to insulate and put up plywood walls first, then get a stationary window unit framed into the wall.
Now what??
Oh, and my wife broke her own rule. Earlier this fall, in NovI thinkshe said, "since money is tight this year, let"s keep it simple." I said $200 limit? She agreed. So now I"m watching my spending on her and she... well, tell me shegot this thingfor anywhere close to $200 w/o it falling off a truck and I"llsell you ALL of Florida... CHEAP!!!
ahahaha. soo 200$ limit turns into a 2000$ limit ahahaha good stuff. well at least you have an air conditioner. i mean for those hot days in texas where ya wanna go for a smoke but its hotter then the cigarette is ahaha. lol. then you got your shop in which its colder then outsiide

Frankly, I don"t know what to do with this thing. I am frustrated. It"s going to be in the way no matter what. It"s not at all what I had in mind.
3 yrs ago, she got me a compressor. Not a commercial unit or anything, just your basic 23 gal Husky from Home Depot, but I love it. It gets used all the time around here. But again, she didn"t listen to what I was saying.
I happened to mention getting a compressor at some point, didn"t know how I would pay for it (I was looking at the $900-$1100 IR"s @ the time,) but that I would want a vertical compressor to avoid wasting space. So what did she end up getting? A horizontal..... [:@]She is wasting more of my valuable floor space trying to be helpful than I have to give!!

The thing is that I didn"t try to explain it to her.I never expected her to buy this thing for me. I was just talking... She took it upon herself to do this. Her heart was in the right place, as always, buton the other handI"m sure one ulterior motive is I"ll do more for her/the housein there if I am more comfortable doing it.
Not all women are like that. Some women really do have the car bug, as much as any man I know, and understand what it"s all about.
