Moonroof wind deflector
I got a question
Thinkin about getting the moon roof wind deflector
Does anyone know if it will really quiet down the roar of the wind when the moonroof is open?
Also, how is this put on the car? Is it drilled into the metal? Will it cause leaks if it is?

RE: Moonroof wind deflector
Yes it does quiet down the wind noise as it tends to deflected up and over the opening. It is attached with two clips that just clamp up under the sheet metal of the roof. Absolutely no drilling or holes in the roof. You can install it yourself in probably five minutes with a phillips screwdriver and 10mm wrench ( small adjustable wrench will work as well ).

you know what i find strange....you think wind deflectors would you know...deflect wind so as to reduce wind noise but heres what i find funny on some cars they do its job, but on others it does not seem to work why is that? i dont have one (no sunroof)

RE: Moonroof wind deflector
You can also put something into the tracks of the little guide wires for the sunroof deflector to keep it for extending all the way. Try driving with the roof open, then slightly lower the deflector with your finger. it won't make nearly as much noise.
