Yes, you have to bake the headlight to get the projector off. After you remove the lens (the trim with the chrome rings is attached to the lens) then there are three adjustment screws you need to loosen from the back of the headlight to remove the projector from the housing. After the projector/reflector is removed from the housing there are three screws that attach the reflector to the projector, two screws that hold the lens retention ring to the projector, and three screws that hold the projector bowl against the forward part of the projector.

With the projector in pieces you can see the tab on the shield to cut off
