NEED HELP, PLEASE RESPOND!!!
Hey everyone, turned on my HID headlights today and the left one didnt come on. All the other headlights work, parking, high and low beams, including the right HID. I noticed a little bit of moisture in the headlight assembly for the past few days but didnt think anything of it, and thought using the high beams would just make the moisture go away.
The only problem is with the dealership. Last time i had the headlight assembly replaced, not for moisture, but because the HID was out with no signs of moisture. The dealership said that the headlight assembly was not under warranty because the car was in a wreck...which it has not been. The think that the metalltic specales in the paint is dust from the paint shop. So I am afraid to take it to the dealership to have it replaced because I don't want to pay the $850 [:@]to get a new bulb. Should the dealership pay for it because they did a faulty install which allowed for water to enter the assembly? I don't want to pay such a big amount of money if it is going to happen again...

How much is the actual bulb if you were to buy it and install it yourself? I know the process is not exactly simple for changing out lighting components in these but $850ish for parts and labor is steep! They only charged like $200 in labor to replace an entire axle in my Jeep before I sold it... haha.
If they are not going to deal with or understand your situation then I would either talk to someone who can help you out or just walk out on that deal because that is seriously ridiculous!
Just make sure you call up or talk to the technicians and managers and tell them exactly what your situation is - hopefully you have paperwork and all that stuff from before.

I say argue with them untill they're annoyed enough to help you out. the have plenty of money and they'll most likely give you what you need of it before going to court and hurting their immage. If it hasn't been in an accadent and they say it has and that's the reason they refuse, then it bcomes legal.

Just tell the dealers to run your VIN # and prove to them that your car was not in a accident, then just have them replace it and keep going back to them for anything you need while your still under warrenty, then when thats up spit in there face and laugh at there stupidity while you turnover there trash can and chairs.

Like the others said, if they refuse to do warranty work because they say the car's been in a wreck and it hasn't been then: A) Also obtain a carfax report on your vehicle, and ask them to prove it. B) talk with the GM. C) tell them you're sending a complaint to mazda NA about their dealership. Check at www.mazda3forums.com as people who get the 'unlimited reports for 30 days' tend to post in the lounge when they do that and will run checks for other members.
Did you buy new? How many miles on the car? Assuming it was new and low mileage then if they didn't disclose that a new car had been in a wreck to you then I'd be pretty freaking pissed off by that.
Assuming that the moisture blew the bulb out...... pull the passenger's side bulb out and swap it to the driver's side to see if it works. If it does work then the bulb is the problem. If it doesn't work then the ballast is dead (you can also try swapping that out. If they refuse to replace stuff under warranty, and it's the bulb that's dead then just buy a new pair of DS2 bulbs from www.HIDplanet.com for around $80. Maybe it'll blow again, but even replacing the bulb frequently will be cheaper than $815 out of pocket...... at least for a little while. Make sure you're putting them in as pairs though because the bulbs change color depending on how many hours are on them.

^^ I'm pretty sure I've seen people at the mazda3forum aim people to HIDplanet to get bulbs. The OEM bulbs should be Osram, however I imagine phillips would work as well. I mean all DS2 bulbs should be the same. Ask a question over on mazda3forums, and the guys there should get back with you pretty quickly.
