Default NEED SOME ADVICE PLS! TRADE-IN

SO I BROUGHT MY CAR TO GET ITS 3000 MILES SERVICE TODAY. AND I SAW THIS DARK BLUE, S GRAND TOURING CAR (FULLY LOADED) SITTING IN FRONT AND A NICE GUY CAME UP TO ME AND ASK IF I AM INTERESTED IN THAT CAR.

IN MY MIND, IM INTERESTED BECAUSE I DON'T SEE MUCH COLOR OF THAT CAR AROUND. HE SAID, THEY ARE TRYING TO EXPAND THEIR USED CAR INVENTORY AND SEE IF I AM INTERESTED IN TRADING IN MY 2007 S TOURING CAR WITH ABOUT 3400 MILES ON IT. I GOT MY CAR FOR ABOUT $20700 OUT THE DOOR WITH 1.9% INTERESTED FOR 3 YRS.

THE BLUE CAR THAT IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE PLACE HAS 32 MILES, LEATHER SEATS (MORE COMFY THAN WHAT I HAVE) BOSE SPEAKERS, AUTO EVERYTHING, HEATED SEATED, ETC.

THE STICKER PRICE IS $24000. OBVIOUSLY IT'S SITTING OUT HERE, SO THEY HAVE TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE 08' LINE IS COMING. ANYWAY HOW MUCH SHOULD I BARGAIN IT FOR?

LIKE HOW MUCH SHOULD I PAY TO TRADE MY CAR IN WITH THAT? PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE.

They will kill you on trade-in value. As soon as you drove that car off the lot the value dropped by a couple of thousand dollars, especially dealer trade-in. Also, for $24K, you could have a Speed3.

I agree with SST as you will get crushed on your trade and will be upside down ( TO MUCH NEGATIVE EQUITY ) plus the price of the new car. NOT WORTH IT GIRL.

Visit www.carbuyingtips.com as I believe thay have a section on trade in's.

They do these things to get more money out of you. The ONLY way I would do it is if you walked out paying the same monthly payment as you are RIGHT NOW.

$24000 is just the sticker price. so technically, i'm not paying for that price. uhm, what if i talk my APR down to .9% ? i'm trying to get my monthly payments around the same, but if i have to pay like 2000 more to trade in, then i'll just pay the 2Gs and keep my monthly payments the same, but with .9% APR what yall think?

I would ONLY do it if the Monthly's stay the same. Is the $2k down worth the added stuff?

Have you even asked them to give you a quote on your trade-in value?

Kelley Blue Book puts your car's value at:

Excellent Condition: $18,100 (Less than 5% of cars fall into this category, your's might, but don't hold your breath.)
Good Condition: $17,050

hmm somewhat it does. cuz of the whole upgrade features. and the fact that it's new. cuz i have 3400 miles and i only had it for two months. and my door got scratched by another fellow employee, but it's now fixed.. no dents whatsoever. a rock chipped my windshield. i guess i don't mind putting another 2K. i don't know i will have to ask the guy and see what he can do first thanskall

Let us know what they say....I'd be surprised if they even offer KBB value for your car. The market is really soft right now.
