New 2014 Mazda 3 question about extended warranty
Good morning all! This is my first post here and also my first Mazda, not to mention first new car! At 33 years old I decided it was about that time.
I purchased a new 2014 Mazda 3 SGT a little over a month ago. The finance guy finally talked me into the extended warranty after lowering the price to $900 and I did not want to argue with him anymore, my bad. The warranty is through Portfolio Protection and is their Plan CB which covers pretty much everything but the drivetrain and wear and tear basic as most warranties. It is a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty which is basically 2 years more than the bumper to bumper included. I believe the deductible is $100 on it.
I was debating cancelling this for a refund, but I will not have the cash to purchase one on my own. I am wondering if this is worth keeping or if I should have them cancel it. I have tried to have him cancel when I first picked the car up but he kept giving me the run around of course and trying to talk me into keeping it. I am thinking it may be good, but as I have never owned a new vehicle or a Mazda before thought I should get the opinion of more educated folks on the matter.
Thank you for any and all help, and I look forward to being a part of this community.
