Talking New 2020 Mazda 3 Premium Hatchback

Just bought and took delivery of our new snowflake white w/black accents 2020 Mazda 3 HB. This is our 3rd Mazda. First was a 2010 3 sedan, then a 2014 6 sedan, and now this new one. Looking forward to being part of the forum.

I searched to see why my vehicle was shaking & vibrating, guess it might be the cylinder deactivation. Plus today when I got home after a 15 minute drive, I could smell a coolant burning smell in the cabin & checked behind the grill & could smell it too....Not sure what that is... '19 HB

Spoiler

Mine does not have the vibration as the cylinder deactivation kicks in but I have heard of others who have.

Report it to Mazda and your dealer don’t let them off without resolution.

What trim level do you have? Where are you located?

I wonder if there is any correlation between region, trim, quality of local gas and so on.

Unhappy

It's a preferred model. I live in Florida. Love the car, the bose audio...but not too happy with these problems I'm having..only had 2 days. My last vehicle was a Hyundai Kona, 1 & a half years without a recall.

How is the back seat for comfort and room? Do you have an automatic or manual transmission?
And can you turn off the cylinder deactivation?

I would have to say that the back seat is simply a back seat. Room is tight and I wouldn't want to ride back there on a long trip. It'd probably be livable on short runs. Mine is auto trans. I don't know about deactivating the cylinder thing.
