Default New Mazda 3 Owner!

Good afternoon everyone!

I just purchased a brand new 2006 Mazda 3s GT in Titanium Metallic a few days ago. I'll either pick it up tonight or tomorrow. I was having them install a bunch of accessories so I haven't even seen the car yet. Here's what they're putting in:

Cassette Deck (so I can play my iPod easily through my cassette adapter..much better than ANY FM modulator)
Wing Spoiler
Switch Panel overlays (Blue -- all four doors)
Door Grip Handles (Siliver/Blue -- all four doors)
Instrument Panel Trim (Blue -- Center console)
Automatic Shift **** (Silver/Blue)
Parking Brake Cover (Silver/Blue)
Autodim Mirror w/Compass for rain sensing wipers
Remote Start

I can't wait to pick it up!! I did have a question though. I have 18" Rims in the 5X114.3mm bolt pattern that I'd love to put on my 3. Do you guys know the bolt pattern of the 3? I hope these will fit..it'd be nice and I wouldn't have to sell them. They are 18" Triple Chrome Plated Eco Mia rims. Anyone here using 18s? Also, not looking to do heavy modding, but I would like to open her up a bit....what's the best CAI and Exhaust? I have an extended warranty but know modding those two things won't void a warranty. Can't wait to hear from you all...I LOVE THE CAR!

Thanks,
Jason

Hey Gray...where did you get your CAI? Any pics? How much did it cost? Do you have real HP and torque gains? I know that won't void a warranty so that's definitely something I want to do. I'd appreciate it...thanks!

I purchased my intake for about $230 from Car Domain. they are a great supplier and get there products out pretty fast. I have noticed instant throttle response when i touch the gas compared to the stock throttle response when i didnt have the aftermarket intake.

I can tell the difference that there is more hp/torque in my car. all i have to do is play around with the gas and my traction control comes on (that means my wheels are spinning because there is alot of torque). but thats if you romp on the gas. if you are just driving normally, you wont have to worry about spinning tire. I think it is a great investment and you even get a nice growl when you drive down the road.

here's a picture after my install!

congrats on the new car purchase, very good choice. in regards to the bolt pattern, i believe it is a 5x114, your rims should probably fit, depending on the offset, if you search around the forum, I know that question has been answered, and i know people are using 18's because some people have gotten them off the RX-8 and put them on the 6 or a 3. in regards to CAI and exhaust, if the dealer/mechanic can trace a problem back to an aftermarket intake or exhaust, that repair would not be covered under the warranty, even if extended
