Default New owner, small issues

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and a new Mazda owner.

I just wanted to mention the few issues I've noticed with the car that I otherwise love.

1. Rough idle when stopped in gear (A/T) ...torque converter?. Neutral is smooth as glass.
2. Time loss of clock display (30 minutes).
3. No trunk spring.
4. Fog lights on w/ low beams only, making them practically useless other than aesthetics.
5. drippy upper door lip (I know, very minor and almost sounds cute).

I'm happy to have my first post up and have a chance to say hey after reading posts here for a couple months through my deciding period. A very vaigue thank you to those that shared information that has already been useful to me.

4. you shouldnt be using your brights through the fog anyways so its kind of pointless for them to run with brights.

Sorry, my point wasn't clear enough. You can not run only the fog lights, which is the point of fog lights in my mind-- to get a less intense beam down low, under the fog. Having to run fogs with the lowbeams on seems pointless to me and when I have, all that is illuminated is an area in front I could not possibly react to.

Anyway, no big deal.

Thank you for the reply

Oh yeah, my brakes squeek and grind quite a bit, but I kind of like it. Especially the wet pad/rotor crunches.

What year is your Mazda 3? I hope its not brand new. If it is get back to the dealer asap. Those things need to be fixed!
