How do you "break" power steering? What's really wrong with it?
Everything but the AC is driven from one belt, so that can't be it. If it's the pump and you're out of warranty, you might look on eBay for a used one. I see them listed all the time.
Barring that, a local junkyard might be you best bet.

He's got an 08GS, so why not just take it to the dealer?

im pretty sure its the pump anyway its fixed under warranty so its all good
