Default P0192 Code

My 2014 Mazda 3 had a fuel tank replacement from a mechanic shop.
This vehicle was fine without any issues prior to the replacement.

The tank was replaced because apparently there was leaks and rust from the tank itself.

After the repair, my check engine light went on and the code P0192 appeared with low input and my tank was at 1/4 of a tank.

As I was driving uphill, the vehicle stalled. I brought the vehicle back to the mechanic after filling up the tank, he said that we should keep the tank above 1/4 and that it is okay to drive.

Would the fuel tank repair cause this issue and what course of action should I do?
