Picked up a 2021 mazda 3 hatchback recently. I have a question in regards to the passenger side air bag and seat belt chime. About 25% of the time when my 14 year old who is 5'2" 100lb sits in the front seat, it will turn off the air bag. I dont know why it is intermittent. She sits normally with her feet planted. But my main question is, when ever this happens the other symptom is that if we then pull onto the road and when it is safe I have her briefly unlatch her seatbelt the car does not chime or show any indicator lights for the fact that she has her belt removed. This is only the case when she sits in the seat and the airbag turns off. Its like no one is in the seat. I also had 1 time when the passenger seat belt chime started barking at me about 20 seconds after she left the car and would not stop until I buckled the unoccupied set belt. I took it to the dealership for 2 days, but of course they could not replicate it. Any insight?
