Default pollen filter

Hi all from Ye Olde Merrie England,

I think my pollen filter may be blocked on my aircon/climate?

Anyone know where it is, and can I have a look myself without a trip to a dealer?

Cheers!
Alan.

I have no idea about modern A/C but most air conditioning systems take air in at the cowl(base of windshield where the windshield wipers rest when off) if there even is a filter it should be somewhere there.

The filter is located under the dash on the passenger's side of the center console up by the firewall.

-look under the glove box at the fuse panel
-remove the cover over the panel
-unscrew the two thumb screws holding the panel up
-disconnect all of the large wire plugs from the fuse panel, put the panel aside
-remove the panel bracket from the firewall
-remove the kick panel from the passenger's side of the center console (near the firewall). I think there's either a single screw, or a plastic screw.
-you'll see the filter in the duct. pull it out and inspect.

This is the same place they installed the A/C diffuser plate in non-filtered versions of the US model to try and help the poor A/C performance.

Typical of the industry.......take something that should be a quick pull and replace, and make it a pain in the butt to change. This is why shops charge you upwards of $100 to change your cabin filter should you have it done there.
