Default Purchasing 2008 Mazda3 Hatchback

Hi All,

I am looking at buying a 2008.5 Mazda3 Hatchback. 10,000 miles. $15,500. Is it silly to buy a car that is already 5 years old?? Im concerned about resale on a car that is already 'old'.

Am I getting a good deal? or should I look for something newer? The used 2010+'s already have 40,000+ miles on them... just not sure if I am getting a good deal or not.

ALL ADVICE WELCOME!!

I bought my 2006 3 with 11k on the clock 2 years ago now for 13,000 euro ($16,985), its running pretty well and I dont plan on selling it anytime soon, the market here though is a sellers market, every used car goes for more than 5K unless its trashed or just a pile of junk car to begin with (Lada, old Skodas e.t.c.)
